-Tonight: 90% chance of showers, thunderstorms, mainly before 2 a.m. Up to an inch of rain. Low of 63.
-Thursday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 80.

-Stevi B's pizza still looking for Rome site: The franchisees of the Cartersville Stevi B's on Market Street continue to search for spots to open a Greater Rome store, says partner Wiley Clark. As of Tuesday, there was nothing concrete other than a desire to open a Rome franchise, perhaps as part of some new construction, says Clark> Stevi B's

-One year later, Hooters' site sold--and to be sold again: An offshoot of SunTrust has purchased the building that was supposed to be the new home of Hooters. SunTrust was the only bidder for the property--a project it "inherited" after it took over the parent company of UB&T. SunTrust hopes to make a subsequent sale. The auction cames almost a year after Hooter's was to open in front of State Mutual Stadium. A liquor license and permits for a grand opening party set for Memorial Day weekend or the following Saturday were in hand but the project stopped dead in the water with just weeks go to> (Archive).

Murphy-Harpst's first Pedal Project now set for May 23: The Saturday afternoon fund-raiser gets under way at 2:30 p.m. with registration; the riverfront ride from State Mutual Stadium to downtown Rome and back begins at 3:30 p.m. Afterward, participants will attend a Rome Braves game. Events also include a bike parade around the stadium as well as bike decorations. Registration starts at $15 per child (ages 4-13) and a family of four pays $60.
