-Rough start to the weekend: Another lousy winter day is on tap with more rain, high winds and little if any sunshine. It begins to clear tonight with Sunday looking like the best day of the weekend. The forecsat:

-Today: 100% rain chance; winds to 25 mph. High of 45.
-Tonight: 40% chance of showers; low of 37, gusts to 20 mph.
-Saturday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 46; gusts to.25 mph.
-Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28. 20 mph gusts.
-Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 48.

-Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 27.

AJC: Three Bartow-based banks on latest 'Texas Ratio' list> Click

-The Atlanta newspaper has posted its quarterly review of banks with high "Texas Ratio" lists, that is, those having significant, troubled loans vs. the bank's capital.

Jefferson's opens on Main Street in Cartersville: The wings, burgers and oysters restaurant is now open at 28 W. Main St. in the former home of D Morgan's. The shop is operated by Chad and Noreen Hullander, who also have the Jefferson's on Broad Street in Rome. The Cartersville's store's hours: Sunday to Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Thursdays to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Facebook / Web page.

Shorter names business school following donation from Ledbetter> Campus

Chattahoochee Tech game on WBHF Friday at 8 p.m.: On Friday, the Chattahoochee Technical College Golden Eagles men's basketball team will make history when they host the West Georgia Tech Titans. The game will mark the first time a CTC athletic event has been broadcast over the airwaves. An agreement was reached with WBHF 1450 AM to broadcast the contest. Station Manager Matt Santini and Station Sports Director Kevin Karel will handle the play-by-play and color commentating duties. Also hear it on Comcast Cable Access TV Channel 23 in Bartow County as well as through internet stream at Bartowheadlines.com (via http://www.exterranet.com). General admission for Friday's game will be $3. The men's game is set to tipoff at 8 p.m.at JH Morgan Gym at 129 Aubrey St. in Cartersville> ctcsports.org.

Applications for new school year being accepted at The Trinity School: (Media release) The Trinity School is accepting applications for the 2010-2011 school year.
