New rules for 'body artists': The Bartow County Board of Health has adopted rules and regulations covering local body artists  --  those who do tattoos and body piercings  --  to protect the public's health and safety and encourage self-policing within the rapidly growing industry.  "If you're currently offering these services in Bartow County, you'll be required to have a permit under the Bartow County Health Department," said Tim Allee, district environmental health director for Northwest Georgia Public Health.  The new measure will go into effect January 2011, but licensing begins this July. Background: Click
