Tellus adding 80-foot wind turbine:

-Tellus Science Museum in Cartersville is adding an 80-foot tall wind turbine near the outside solar house and solar panels. The turbine, like the panels, are designed to educate visitors on how renewable resources can be used. The turbine will supply some power to the museum as well. The tower for the turbine will be constructed over the next two days with the generator and blades being attached to the top on Thursday.  Tellus

Going up: Gas prices leap to $3.16-$3.18 a gallon

 

-A gallon of unleaded was $3.16 to $3.18 Tuesday evening, up more than a dime in 24 hours. Statewide, the average price was $3.10 a gallon. Experts predict it go zoom to $4 a gallon -- and maybe $5 -- because of turmoil in the Middle East. Gas prices.  In Cartersville today, prices ranged from $3.05 to $3.30 a gallon..
