-Suspicious cloud swirls in Bartow, snapped flag pole in Cave Spring. Track damage reports, county by county,

-The Chattanooga area got the brunt of the storms. Damage

Much nicer today but a bit cooler, too.

Mohawk sees positives in 2011 following '10 rebound but . . . :

-The good news in Calhoun last week was Mohawk Industries' fourth-quarter and annual performance numbers. For the quarter ending Dec. 31, Mohawk posted net income of $46 million vs. $20 million a year earlier. The net income for 2010 was $185 million vs. a $5 million loss in 2009. Details

Gas prices continue to soar:

-With the average price of unleaded nearing $3.31 a gallon, Georgians are paying 67 cents more than they were a year ago -- a 25 percent jump. Half of that increase has occurred in the past 30 days. Prices were at $2.98 a gallon in late January. Georgia Gas Prices. Whats' worse? Consider the impact of overall higher fuel costs n producer-shippers such as the Anheuser-Busch plant in Cartersville. It dispatches 220 trucks per day, delivering beer to Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee and South Carolina.
