July report: More people without jobs in our area
-Jobless rate rises: After a few promising months, the jobless rates in Floyd, Bartow, Gordon and Polk counties jumped again in July. Some 5,375 people couldn't find jobs in Floyd followed by 5,015 in Bartow and nearly 3,000 in Gordon. Polk: 2,041 people.

All eyes on Tropical Storm Isaac
-We're seeing a lot of "traffic" on news, weather and social media sites as Tropical Storm Isaac begins its run in the Caribbean. -Florida -- and  the Republican National Convention -- could be in its path.
