TRACKING A KILLER: THE JAN. 30 TORNADO

 

With winds peaking at 160 mph and a width of three football fields (900 yards), the storm was on the ground for nearly 22 miles.

 

Fatality and injuries: It killed one man in Adairsville and injured nine people in Bartow and eight people in Gordon County.

 

Bartow damage report: 95 structures.

 

Gordon damage report: 268 homes were hit
