Heavy rainfall likely Tuesday-Friday could impact July 4th activities

-The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement to advise Northwest Georgia of prolong period of strong thunderstorms and very heavy rainfall is possible Tuesday-Friday.


Isolated thunderstorms possible later this afternoon into the overnight hours. Weekend weather:

-Sunday: 30% chance of rain, high of 90, low of 65.

-Monday: 40% chance of rain, high of 88, low of 72.

-Tuesday: 40% chance of rain, high of 84, low of 68.


Independence Day festivities get underway today in Cave Spring, Rome.
