The Bartow County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Lawrenceville man in connection with a stolen vehicle recovered Friday in Cartersville.

According to Sheriff Clark Millsap, a Sheriff's Crime Prevention Unit (S.C.P.U.) deputy working near Cartersville started receiving a "hit" through his LoJack system that indicated a stolen vehicle nearby. The deputy was able to obtain a tracking number and 911 dispatchers gave out a description of the vehicle. It was discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen through Lawrenceville on Friday morning. The deputy and an investigator located the reported stolen vehicle, a 2005 Chevy Tahoe, sitting in the driveway of 35 Buena Vista Circle. Deputies made contact with the resident, Bridget Danyell Lane, 30 and she indicated that the male who drove the vehicle had "ran off" when he saw deputies outside. Deputies found the man, Steven Shon West, 42, of Lawrenceville, hiding under a mattress in the residence. West was arrested and it was discovered that he was wanted by Clarke County, Gwinnett County, and Florida Parole for outstanding warrants.

Deputies discovered methamphetimines at the residence and Lane was arrested as well. Both are being held at the Bartow County Jail charged with Possession of Meth, Possession of Drug Related Objects. West was also charged with Theft By Receiving Stolen Property. Lane was also charged with Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce.
