Tuesday's updates: New flood concerns

Teacher's Trunk closing in Cartersville: The store at 107-A S. Dixie Ave. is closing, citing "the climate of our economic times," according to an e-mail note sent to customers. "It has been our privilege and joy to serve each of you, and we thank you for your loyalty and support during our stay in Bartow County." An in-store sale is under way with discounts of 20 to 40 percent.

Test sessions for applicants interested in working for the U.S. Census are set for Monday, Feb. 15, beginning at 8 a.m. the Cartersville Career Center, 19 Felton Place. Testing will be for Census Enumerator positions. Applicants must first call 1-866-861-2010 to schedule an appointment to take the test. Two forms of I.D. are required for testing (Passport, Driver's License, Social Security Card or birth vertificate). Veterans need to bring their DD214 which can earn additional points to their test score.
