Even with wet forecast, fire danger rating high
-Weather service statement: "High fire danger conditions are expected from mid-morning through early evening due to strong winds and 'dry fuels' (vegetation killed by winter weather)."

-Presidents Day: High of 70, low of 45. 50% rain chance tonight.
-Tuesday: Decreasing clouds. High of 62, low of 33.

 

Grim words on surging gas prices:
-"Retail gas prices are starting the week a little higher, with a 4-cent increase in the national average from last week."  The national average price of unleaded: $3.16 per gallon. In Georgia: $3.09.
