-Feb. 3: Blood Assurance's grand opening in Cartersville: Look for the new Blood Assurance office in Cartersville at Collins Pointe shopping center (behind the new CVS). A ribbon cutting ceremony is set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3.

Sponsors sought for Downtown Cartersville's Seventh Annual Summer Concert Series. Packages range from $200 to $5,000. The 2009 concerts drew more than 4,500 visitors each night.
