More than 40 companies participating in CTC Career and College Fair on Oct. 25

Armed with training and education, Chattahoochee Technical College students will be looking better than ever at the school's Fall Career and College Fair October 25. More than 30 companies and organizations will be on hand to speak with job seekers about seasonal, temporary and permanent positions.

"Many people feel that the jobs are just not out there, but that's not the case with these companies," said Lucylle Shelton, Career Services Coordinator with Chattahoochee Technical College. "Every company attending this event will have jobs available."

Planned for Oct. 25 in the Student Life Center on Chattahoochee Technical College's Marietta campus, the event will run from 10 am to 1 pm. Shelton said she expects more companies to sign on before the event. Many of the employers are looking for students with backgrounds in automotive, HVAC, electrical, computers and business. Also on hand at the event will be seven local colleges and universities where students can talk to recruiters about furthering their education.

"Participants should bring plenty of copies of their resume and be dressed as though they were going to a job interview," Shelton said. "That means no jeans, tennis shoes, flip flops or tank tops. We expect everyone to dress and act like a professional."
