Women's Expo set for March 21 at Civic Center: American Red Cross and Coosa Valley Credit Union present the 2009 Women's Expo March 21 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Cartersville Civic Center. Meating Place's Bennett opens steakhouse, grill in Cave Spring

Months in the making, Bennett's Steakhouse & Grill opened for business Thursday on the Cave Spring square. Tracy Bennett and family, who own the popular Meating Place in Cartersville, have been working for months at 18 Broad St., the home of Martha Jane's Fudge and Gift Shop. The menus are available on the Web site. The hours for March: Lunch is serve Thursdays-Sundays, 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Dinner is serve from 5 p.m. "until" Thursday through Saturday. Bennett's will add more days in April, he says.

Jamerson leaving Gordon Hospital after nine years as president, CEO:

Carlene Jamerson, president and CEO of Gordon Hospital for the last nine years, is leaving to become Chief Clinical Officer at the corporate office of Adventist Health System, Gordon Hospital's parent company. Jamerson's last week at Gordon will be the week of April 20> Media release

Gingrey on that Limbaugh issue again: The AJC's Political Insider has a quote out from U.S. Rep. Phil Gingrey's appearance on C-SPAN's Washington Journal Thursday where the topic sort of comes up again. The quote Gingrey as follows: "We have leaders," says Gingrey, naming Georgia colleague Tom Price of Roswell and others. "These talk show hosts are not Republican leaders … but they are strong voices of conservatism."
