-Oct. 9/Expanded details on Vista Metals/DOL job fair: The Adairsville company is hiring 50 people as part of its $25 million expansion into Northwest Georgia. The fair is set for the Cartersville Career Center, 9 a.m.-noon. For updates on hiring, eligibility: Click Vista.

-Oct. 13/Bank of the Ozarks to announce third quarter earnings: The successor bank to Unity National Bank -- with offices in Cartersville, Adairsville, Calhoun and Rome -- will announce third quarter performance stats late that Wednesday.

-Local Belk stores among those getting new logo, branding: Belk Inc. is updating its brand and logo "to satisfy the modern Southern lifestyle like no one else, so that our customers get the fashion they desire and the value they deserve." The new tagline: "Modern. Southern. Style." The rebranding will cost $70 million over the next 18 months with $25 million going toward new signage at 305 stores, including Main Street Shopping Center in Cartersville. Belk
