Mohawk sees positives in 2011 following '10 rebound but . . . :
-The good news in Calhoun last week was Mohawk Industries' fourth-quarter and annual performance numbers. For the quarter ending Dec. 31, Mohawk posted net income of $46 million vs. $20 million a year earlier. The net income for 2010 was $185 million vs. a $5 million loss in 2009. Details
Gas prices continue to soar:
-With the average price of unleaded nearing $3.31 a gallon, Georgians are paying 67 cents more than they were a year ago -- a 25 percent jump. Half of that increase has occurred in the past 30 days.
