(Details below) The project has ye to break ground as land acquisition due to be completed May 31 has now been pushed back a month. Development leaders remain very optimistic about the part.

Perfect Game USA latest to join LakePoint project

-Media release: Perfect Game USA has signed on as the third major tenant at LakePoint Sporting Community and Town Center in Emerson. Perfect Game USA is moving its 50-plus person headquarter operation from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to to Bartow County.  Perfect Game USA is the "gold standard" resource for baseball recruiting for collegiate, minor and major league scouts. They have an unparalleled approach of bringing together the best amateur baseball players with college and professional scouts.

"We are thrilled to be consolidating most of our baseball tournaments (more than 1,600 teams) that currently take place all over the Eastern United States into a single facility, said Jerry Ford, Perfect Game USA President. "Our new home in Emerson will allow parents, families and the players an opportunity to truly enjoy a play and stay atmosphere during the numerous recruiting events."

The privately funded LakePoint project will not only host hundreds of baseball tournaments, but also lacrosse and soccer tournaments for approximately 10 out of 12 months per year. Last month, Braveheart Sports Events, LLC, a partnership between North Atlanta Soccer Association (NASA) and LB3 Lacrosse signed their tenant lease.
