Chattahoochee Tech opens with at least 11,600 students

Media release: Chattahoochee Technical College, which was recently ranked as the 8th largest college or university in Georgia by the Atlanta Business Chronicle, opened the semester with an influx of new and returning students. As of the first day of classes, approximately 11,600 students were on the rolls for the college's diploma, certificate and degree programs. The numbers are in line with recent enrollment numbers from the past year, which have held between 11,000 and 12,000 students.

The New Year is bringing a new program to the college's Appalachian Campus - Paramedicine. A new EMT to Paramedic Bridge Program is scheduled to begin this summer and a new LPN to RN bridge program is scheduled to being in January 2014.

Campuses such as Marietta and North Metro in Acworth remain popular choices for students with 70 percent of students attending at those two locations. Online classes remain a popular option, as they offer flexibility in scheduling that many students need. Almost 4,700 students are enrolled in at least one online class with 1,366 students taking classes exclusively online.
