Bartow Winds to perform in Kingston on April 20

Media Release: The Bartow Winds Community Concert Band will be performing in Kingston during their "The Civil War Comes to Kingston" activities on April 20th.  The concert begins at 2:00 p.m. in downtown Kingston (near the Gazebo).

 

Musical selections include "The Great Locomotive Chase", "Tara's Theme", "The Blue and the Gray", and many other Civil War related features.

 

The Bartow Winds is a non-profit organization founded in the spring of 2009 as both an outlet for local musicians and a way to raise funds for charities.  Its members range from high school and college students to adults.  Bartow Winds is under the direction of Michael D. Elzey, with assistance and support from area band directors.

 

Bartow Winds typically presents three to four concerts per year.  Their next concert will be the annual Patriotic Concert on June 29th at 7:00pm downtown Cartersville at The Friendship Plaza (the Depot).  For information please email bartowwinds@gmail.com or visit their website at www.bartowwinds.org.
