Alabama football to be broadcast on Life 93.5 FM this fall:

-Listen for all 12 regular season games and the post-season broadcasts of reigning national champion Alabama Crimson Tide to be heard on Life 93.5 FM (WSRM) starting Sept. 4 (vs. San Jose State). The station will pick up the game day broadcast about 30 minutes before kickoff and also will include the Nick Saban show, says Randy Quick, general manager of Rome Radio Partners. Georgia football will be heard on WRGA 1470 AM. Also this fall: Rome High football will be heard on Q102; Pepperell High on Life 93.5 FM and the Friday night scoreboard show on South 107.

$500,000 lottery winner to be named Friday: A Cartersville resident playing the instant game Jumbo Jumbo Bucks has won the $500,000 top prize. The winner's name will be revealed at 11 this morning at the Short & Easy store, 429 Grassdale Road, Cartersville, where the winning ticket apparently was sold. Source: Georgia Lottery Corp.
