Every Child's A Star talent show auditions.

Advocates for Children announces auditions for the 2012 performance of Every Child's a Star talent show for teens and children.

Auditions will be held at Expedition Church (32 Center Road, Cartersville) on both Thursday, January 26 from 5-7 p.m. and Saturday, January 28 from 1-3 p.m.  (Choose whichever time is more convenient.) Children from kindergarten through grade 12 are invited to audition:  we are looking for lots of variety!  Acts can be solo or ensembles, and can include singing, other musical acts, dances, gymnastics, juggling, puppetry, pantomime, ventriloquists, magic, show choirs, comedic skits: the sky is the limit—because once again: that's where the stars are!

Musical contestants should bring CD audio for their 2-3 minute auditions and plan to arrive early to complete registration materials.

There is no fee to participate.  However, each child in every act selected to be in the show is required to sell at least 10 tickets (at $10 each) to the performance, which will be held Saturday, March 24 at 7 p.m. at the Woodland High School Performing Arts Center.  All proceeds will support Advocates for Children's many child abuse prevention and support programs and services.

We are happy to announce that Mary Clayton Gilbert, the reigning Bartow and Georgia Distinguished Young Woman, is the producer and director of this year's show.
