Work to begin soon on construction of truck passing lanes on Highway 20 in Bartow County

  

Work could soon begin on widening State Route (SR) 20 in Bartow County. Georgia DOT has just awarded a contract valued at close to eight million dollars for a construction project in Bartow County. The project includes 1.729 miles of widening and reconstruction for truck passing lanes on SR 20, beginning east of Timberlake Cove Road and extending to just west of Bells Ferry Road in Bartow County. This project is scheduled to be completed by the end of September 2014, at a construction cost of $7,761,359.
