Pollen: A record Monday; sequel today?
-8,164 was Monday's chart-busting pollen count and we'll know today's number by midmorning. Most of it, by the way, is coming from trees, not plants.

After five days of record highs, our torrid heat wave ends with a high only of 83 -- on the last day of winter, we might add. We could come close again today but temperatures cool a bit to the low 80s later in the week. As for the seasons: Welcome to the first day of spring 2012.

-Tuesday: High of 82, low of 56. Record: 85

-Wednesday: 20% rain chance, high of 82, low of 56.

-Thursday: 30% rain chance, high of 77, low of 55.

 

Later today: Tuesday's Bartow County Jail reports.
