Coomer Seeks Sponsors to help State Champion Adairsville High team go to Nationals

Media release: On March 23, for the second year in a row, the Adairsville High School TeamWorks Construction Competition Team won the Georgia SkillsUSA Championship. The team will compete for the National SkillsUSA Competition title the week of June 22 in Kansas City, Missouri. The team is seeking sponsors to help defray the expenses of the trip.

Rep. Christian Coomer, whose District 14 includes Adairsville, is especially proud of the hard work and dedication of the Club and is asking for your consideration as a sponsor for the trip. The National competition trip will cost the team approximately $6000. All sponsorships are tax deductible.

"Our own local Lowe's center was so impressed with one of last year's TeamWorks graduates that they hired him right after the competition. That's a goal we can all appreciate and support. This is a very worthwhile project and I urge you to do whatever you can to encourage these students by helping them to compete in the National Championship," said Coomer.

SkillsUSA is a national, nonprofit student organization that has developed more than 10 million workers through active partnerships between employers and educators.
