Dream Parks passes initital regional review. NewsTalk 1270 AM returns. Gusty day ahead; cold temps return.

 
Dream Parks at LakePoint gets regional OK: "In the best interest of the region and, therefore, of the state." So reads the conclusion on the massive sports/retail park's review by the Northwest Georgia Regional Commission. The Jan. 28 ruling was expected and even predicted during the December rollout of plans for the Bartow County sports haven lining I-75. Cartersville's NewsTalk AM 1270 back on the air: It's taken a few more weeks than hoped and endured a start-up hiccup or two with talent but NewsTalk 1270 AM is back on the airwaves. An expanded lineup is due by Monday as it streaming online. The station went dark in December 2009 but is back with some of the former ownership and an investor.
