Fair, chili cookoff could be dodging rain drops: The weekend forecast gets soggy tonight and Saturday, which could have some impact on the annual Chili Cookoff at Ridge Ferry Park, the finale of the Coosa Valley Fair and downtown's last classic car cruise-in for the season. Net revenue collections continue to slide in the new fiscal year. September's total, $1.37 billion, was down 12.2 percent from two years earlier, $1.56 billion, and by 16 percent from September 2008 ($1.63 billion). In fact, the last time collections for September were this low was in 2004: $1,365,677,000.
