-Anderson seeks Armuchee Connector documents: George Anderson has filed Open  Records Act requests with County Manager Kevin Poe, seeking information about rights of way purchase, the connector's path and related issues. Work on the connector -- part of the 2006 SPLOST -- is scheduled to begin shortly.

-Free pizza to mark National Pizza Month: Talk about a harmonic convergence--October is known for Oktoberfest celebrations around the world so we wonder if that's why the month also is designated National Pizza Month. To celebrate, the Stevi B's chain on Oct. 7 will give away pizzas to the first 100 people in line as of 6 p.m. that day.
