Dec. 11: Cowboy Santa at Booth Western Art Museum

(Media release) The Booth Western Art Museum will host Member Appreciation Day on Saturday, December 11, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Held each December, this special day to recognize and thank the Booth membership consists of a free lunch in the Booth Café, special discounts in The Store, children's activities throughout the Museum and special family-oriented programming in the Booth Theatre. New this year, the Booth Museum is hosting a Breakfast with Cowboy Santa from 9:00-10:30 am, which is also open to the general public.

"Membership in the Booth Museum is critical to fund our educational programs and exhibits, so we host this event once per year as a way to say 'thank you' to those who support us by being a member," said Membership Manager Karen Mahoney. Member Appreciation Day activities will take place throughout the Museum. Activities for the children include making a Christmas tree ornament and a photography composition activity. Programming in the Booth Theatre includes John Mariana discussing the life and career of Ansel Adams at 11:30 am, 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm, and A Pioneer Christmas with Laura Ingles Wilder at 10:30 am, 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm. Members will also be able enjoy a delicious free lunch in the Booth Café, and take advantage of some special pricing in the Booth Store.

"In addition to the member-only benefits offered throughout the day, we are excited to announce our first ever Breakfast with Cowboy Santa. This event, is also open to not-yet members, and will be a unique, fun way for the entire family to get into the Christmas spirit. We hope to see members come early to partake in the delicious breakfast, but also invite not-yet members to join us, dine with Cowboy Santa, and enjoy everything else that the Booth Museum has to offer."

Breakfast with Cowboy Santa will be held in the holiday decorated Booth Ballroom, and will give children the opportunity to enjoy their meal with Cowboy Santa. Additionally, guests are encouraged to bring their cameras to take pictures. The breakfast will consist of eggs, bacon, sausage and gravy biscuits, pancakes, cheese grits, bagels and cream cheese, orange juice, milk and coffee. Tickets must be purchased in advance and may be done by visiting the front desk inside the Museum, or by calling 770-387-1300. Tickets are $10 for children 12 and under, $15 for Booth members, and $25 for not-yet members which includes admission to the Museum.
